Well, I can honestly say that I never envisioned creating my own blog space. However, with the changes in technology and society as a whole, communication and accessibility to your peers and colleagues is at an all time high. With that being said, I am a third year law student at Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. I intend on sitting for the Alabama State Bar in July of this year in hopes of attaining a goal that as a first year law student I never thought would come to pass. I anticipate practicing law, or a legally related field, upon graduation and hopefully passing the daunting BAR.
This blog was created in relation to a class I am currently taking, with Professor Alexander Bolla, called Business Drafting. The course is designed to help us, as law students, become more efficient in our drafting styles and capabilities once we step out into the real world. It is truly a necessity in the legal field to be able to communicate and write in such a manner as to be fully and clearly understood and hopefully this class will provide the training and skills that I need to accomplish such a goal upon entering the profession.
